Alan McBride
Alan Curtis McBride, Jr., of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019, at age 79.
Known as "Sonny" to family and friends, he retired from Bell South after 36 years of service. He was a 1957 graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, Ms., and a veteran of the U.S. Army and Tennessee National Guard.
Alan was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Jene Copeland McBride, his parents, Alan Curtis McBride Sr. and Ama Sexton Lowery, stepfather Herman Lowery, and his brother Ricky McBride.
He is survived by his four sons: Michael Alan (Jeanette), Raymond Curtis, Patrick Graham (Taffi), and Andrew Jason (Kitchie) McBride; Grandchildren, Jennifer Rothwell (Tim), Jessica Pendergrass (Eric), and Jacob McBride; Great Grandchildren, Spencer Hegarty, Maverick Rothwell and Emma Rothwell. Sisters Jean Overton and Gail Walker.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 21, in the funeral home chapel.
