Marcus Smith, 24, was sentenced Wednesday to serve six years in federal prison for heroin sales.

Smith appeared before Judge Curtis Collier.

He will afterward have five years of supervised release.

In another case, Ricky Lewis was sentenced to 12 months more in federal incarceration.

Lewis asked to be placed in a facility near Atlanta, where he said his brother is critically ill.
