The Lookouts won 5-2 against the Barons on the back of starting pitcher Johendi Jiminian (W, 3-2). Jiminian delivered a quality start, only allowing one earned run in 6 1/3 innings of work while lowering earned run average to 3.15 on the year in 14 games (eight starts).
The Barons jumped on top in the opening frame when Ti'Quan Forbes brought home Luis Robert with a sacrifice fly.
The Lookouts responded in the bottom of the first to tie the game on an Ibandel Isabel RBI single.
Chattanooga opened it up in the bottom of the third on RBI singles by Isabel and Jose Siri. They added one more run thanks to a bases loaded walk.
The Lookouts added their fifth (and final run of the day) on a T.J. Friedl home run..
In the sixth inning Jesse Stallings relieved Jiminian and delivered two shutout innings.
Ty Boyles pitched the ninth inning and nailed down his second save of the year.
The Barons Blake Rutherford, ranked as the No. 8 prospect in the White Sox system, singled in the second, fifth and seventh innings to record his 15th multi-hit effort of the season.
