ACT Business Machines volunteered for Chattanooga Humane Society’s 6th annual Drives for Lives Tuesday at Lookout Mountain Golf and Country Club.
Nineteen teams of four participated in the fundraising event.
ACT, along with several other sponsors, donated their time and prizes to make this event successful and to raise money to support the efforts of the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga.
“Being part of a community is more than just doing a good job and paying your taxes,” said ACT owner Kent Davis. “It’s contributing time and money to our local non-profits who do so much for those who cannot do for themselves, including homeless cats and dogs. Over six and a half million cats and dogs enter animal shelters nationwide each year. Those are staggering statistics.”
ACT donated gift bags for the winning team. Employee Wanda Woodard worked with other volunteers to serve refreshing beverages on the 6th hole.
