Directed by James Ogden, musical direction by Terry Sanford, choreography by Josie Offutt, and stage managed by Julianna McKenna, the Colonnade Players presents Man of LaMancha, presented by special arrangement with Tams-Whitmark.

Review for Man of LaMancha:

The classic musical and play-within-a-play is based on the story of Don Quixote. Cervantes, is seeking a way to save the manuscript, so he proposes his defense in the form of a play. The “court” agrees to his proposal, so Cervantes and his manservant put on make-up and costumes, transforming themselves into Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. They then proceed to play out the story with the prisoners taking the roles of other characters. The pair takes to the road in a comical adventure to restore the age of chivalry, battle all evil, and right all wrongs.

The Colonnade Center is at Benton Place Campus, 264 Catoosa Cir. For more information call (706)  935-9000.

When I was a senior in high school, the Vietnam catastrophe held the guys who were in my class spellbound. Back then, and has since been proven again and again, the conflict was a terrible error in our nation’s judgment and almost 60,000 young and promising Americans died in some stinking South Asian battle zone that didn’t mean squat to our freedom or our nation’s future.
