Virginia Smith
Virginia “Kay” McKay Smith, 79, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
Kay was born in Wilmington, NC, and raised in Newport News, VA where she was a member of Orcutt Ave. Baptist Church. She relocated to Chattanooga with her husband, and will always be remembered as a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelley McKay Maddox; parents, William Hugh Davis, Sr. and Mary Davis; and brother, William Hugh Davis, Jr.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Roland “Ron” Smith; son, Kenneth Michael Jones; granddaughter, Mallorie McKay Wamsley; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 1, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
