Jean P. Goodwin, 75, of Birchwood went to her final rest in the arms of an angel June 3, 2019 while surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Birchwood for the past 39 years. She was a former quality control inspector for M&M Mars and was an outstanding drawing artist. She Loved her Lord and loved to worship Him in singing. She was a Baptist and attended Bayside Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents,Roscoe and Stella Price; her adopted daughter, Jina Cooley; and her siblings, Herman Price, Don Price, and Carolyn Price Cooley. 

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, William Huel Goodwin of Birchwood; brothers, Jack Price of Ooltewah and J.W. Price of Cleveland; several cousins and her beloved dog Millie. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 8, at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland from 1-3 p.m.

Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with Reverend Jack Price officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Hamilton County Has Record 71 In Hospital With Coronavirus; Tennessee Has 25 More Deaths

The number of coronavirus patients in Chattanooga hospitals has risen to the highest level yet - 71. That includes 37 from Hamilton County. The previous high was 65 on June 10.
