Cleveland State To Offer Extended Hours Leading Up To Fall Semester

  • Friday, July 12, 2019

In the spirit of “Community First,” Cleveland State is providing extended hours for student services in the upcoming weeks leading to the beginning of the fall semester.

“We want to make it as convenient as we can for students to complete the enrollment process,” stated Dr. Michael Stokes, vice president for Student Services. “As the start of the semester is approaching quickly, it's important that students who want to enroll this fall complete the advising and registration process as soon as possible to ensure their spot in fall classes.”

While campus offices are regularly open 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the Advising Center is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on the main campus in Cleveland, CSCC will be extending those hours in order to serve all continuing and incoming students. Therefore, key services will be available on the following schedule leading up to the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 26:

Thursdays July 18, July 25, Aug. 1, and Aug. 8:  Admission, Records, Financial Aid, the Bursar’s Office, the Advising Center, the Testing Center, the Student Success Center and the IT Help Desk will be open until 6 p.m.

The week of Aug. 12: the Advising Center will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. All other campus offices will maintain regular operating hours that week.

Aug. 19-23:  Admissions, Records, Financial Aid, the Bursar’s Office, the Advising Center, the Testing Center and the IT Help Desk will be open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and until 4:30 p.m. on Friday. (An exception to those hours is that all campus offices will be closed on Monday, Aug. 19 until 10 a.m. for college-wide meetings. The Advising Center will be open 1-4 p.m. on Monday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday, with extended hours 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.)

New and returning students are invited to come during these regular or extended hours over the next few weeks to make sure that they are enrolled and ready for classes to start on Aug. 26.

Students are also invited to save some time and skip the line in the CSCC Bookstore by ordering books online at www.csccshop.com and select free in store pick up. "Cleveland State will do all the work for you, and you’ll receive an email when your order is ready to pick up," officials said.  "When you arrive at the bookstore, you do not have to wait in the line for the register. You inform a bookstore team member that you ordered your books online. You need to make sure you have a photo ID with you at the time of pick up. You can use your financial aid to purchase your books and supplies.
