There will be an open cookout for owners of Mini Coopers Owners Cookout on Aug. 3, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at 10205 Sims Road, Soddy Daisy.

The cookout will welcome both new style Mini Coopers and classic Minis from 1999 and earlier.

Owners of Mini Coopers are encouraged to register and attend the cookout.

The cookout is limited to 100 Mini owners and a guest.

Those MINI owners wishing to attend may register on Facebook at Mowbray Mountain MINI or at https://ministakemowbray.app.rsvpify.com/

The cookout is free for all Mini Cooper owners; the cookout will feature a wide array of cookout favorites from burgers and hot dogs to grilled shrimp and ribs.

“We have food for 200 people and are expecting MINIs from Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Kentucky,” said event organizer Harry T. Stone. He also said several MINI clubs were attending including Huntsville and Knoxville.

The British made Mini Cooper has been produced since 1959 and was purchased by BMW in 2000 and has produced the slightly larger Mini.

The beloved cars were featured in the two versions of the film “The Italian Job”.
