Thelma Poole
Thelma Poole, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019, at her residence.
She attended Chattanooga Public Schools. Thelma was a faithful member of Faith United Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board until her health began to decline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Mary Poole; siblings, Amos Young, William Poole, Lula Cunningham, and Laura Jemison; children, Ronald Poole and Gwendolyn Stephens; grandchildren, Joynal Muthleb and Lisa Vinson.
She is survived by her children, Manuel (Patricia) Poole of Plano, Tx., Roderick (Yolanda) Craig, Mary (Reverend Larry) Jones, Wilma (Willie) Poole, and Renee Sharp, all of Chattanooga.
She will lie in state on Friday, July 19, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 20, at noon at Faith United Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Jones as the eulogist. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
