Dalton State Women's Golf Coach Jim McGrew released the Fall schedule for the Lady Roadrunners on Monday. The schedule features four tournaments, with a new event on the calendar, and runs from early September until late October.

The Lady Birds kickoff the Fall season in the Sand Shark Invitational at Oldfield Golf Club in Okatie, S.C. on September 16 & 17. This will be the Lady Roadrunners first appearance in the event.

"I'm really excited about our Fall schedule," McGrew said.
"The Sand Shark Invitational will be a great way to start the season with the top teams in the country being there."

They will head to Hattiesburg, Miss. the next week, September 23 & 24, for the Carey Collegiate Classic at Canebrake Country Club. In two previous trips to Hattiesburg, the Lady Roadrunners have produced a win (2017) and a runner-up (2018) finish.

"The Carey Collegiate Classic always gives us an idea of where we stand against our top conference teams," McGrew added.

A visit to Kinderlou Forest Golf Club is on the docket for October 7 & 8 as Dalton State will participate in the Thomas University Fall Invitational. The Lady Roadrunners have played in the event on one other occasion, in 2017, where they finished as tournament runner-up by two strokes to Cumberland (Ky.).

After a two-week rest, the Lady Birds will wrap up the Fall by hosting the nation's elite in the Roadrunner Women's Invitational. For the third consecutive season the tournament will be held at Nob North Golf Club in Dalton. The event will expand to three days beginning on Sunday, October 20 and running until Tuesday, October 22 with 18 holes of play each day.

McGrew concluded by saying: "Our home tournament is the highlight of the season. It's where we get to showcase our talent against a great field. I'm excited to get to see where we are and what we need to work on."
