Dewayne Oneal Lawery, 18, Arrested In Shooting Of Stepfather; Incident Caught On Neighbor's Surveillance Camera

Dewayne Oneal Lawery, 18, was arrested Tuesday after police said he shot his 33-year-old stepfather multiple times.

The incident in the 2600 block of Reece Alley was caught on a neighbor's surveillance camera. It showed "one suspect attempting to shoot the victim numerous times."

Police said witnesses on the scene positively identified Lawery as the shooter.

He is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Several spent 9mm shell casings were found.

Upon arrival, police located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Hamilton County EMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital.

Reece Alley is near Dodds Avenue and is just below the Ridge Cut section of I-24.

Lawrey's bond was set at $140,000.
