Cempa Community Care will be hosting the inaugural Ryan White Clinics for 340B Access National Conference on Aug. 1 from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at The Chattanoogan. Cocktails and social to follow. Click here to register.
The conference was organized as an opportunity for those affiliated with Ryan White Clinics to come together in one location for the first time, allowing grantees to network and share best practices.
Attendees at the conference will have a variety of opportunities, including the chance to earn continuing education credits, participate in a fiscal/financial panel and a federal report panel, take part in roundtable discussions and hear from legal experts in the field.
Both national and local leaders on 340B access will be presenting at the event.
Previous efforts of Ryan White Clinics for 340B Access had focused on sharing ideas, but the organization was looking to continue to strengthen educational pursuits and networking opportunities. Chattanooga was chosen as the ideal location for the inaugural conference based on a number of factors, including its location in the south.
“The south is the area of the United States most impacted by HIV and STIs, so having the conference here makes sense,” said Shannon Stephenson, CEO of Cempa and current president of the board for Ryan White Clinics for 340B Access. “The organization is made up of people who serve Ryan White Clinics, and this conference will provide an opportunity for us to come together and meet with other agencies that serve the same mission as ours.”
