Federal authorities have charged Alonzo Dean Westmoreland, 30, and Savannah Paige "Diamond" Grissum, 21, with transporting for prostitution.

A criminal information says they transported an individual from Georgia to Tennessee for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.

Prosecutor Jay Woods said in early June 2018 a girl argued with her family and asked Ms. Grissum for a place to stay. She then introduced her to Westmoreland.

He said, while still in Georgia, Ms. Grissum negotiated with an unknown male to have sex with the girl. That money was used to fund transportation to Tennessee.

They drove to a Motel 6 in Tennessee where the victim again engaged in sex for money.

Ms. Grissum negotiated with at least four men to have sex with the victim, it was stated.

The prosecutor said the victim did not get any of the proceeds, but the money was used for more nights in the motel.

He said Westmoreland instructed Ms. Grissum or the victim to type "help" into a text message if they got into any trouble and he would then respond.

Both defendants have entered into plea agreements with the government.
