Windy Adams, 89, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019.  

Born in Morgan County, Alabama, he was a member of Tiftonia Baptist Church.  Windy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a licensed barber for 68 years and was the owner of Lookout Valley Barber Shop.  He was a very kind and generous man.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Adams; daughter, Allison Adams; son, “Sharpie” (Kendra) Adams; two grandsons, Jarrett Adams and Christopher Adams; two sisters; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with Pastor Mark Brandon officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Chattanooga and to his caregiver, Odell Mahan.

A small plane crashed on Wednesday at Cagle Mountain near Dunlap. Authorities said the pilot was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital. He was described as in his mid-to-late 50s or 60s.
