Edna Covington

Edna Earline Covington-Sheppard, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019, in a local hospital.  

She was a 1988 graduate of Brainerd High School.  She was of the Church of God in Christ faith.  

Edna was preceded in death by her grandmother, Wilma Russell; brothers, Eric Russell, Arthur Grant, and Russell Covington.  

Survivors include her husband, Rico Sheppard; mother, Sylvia Covington; sister, Patricia Russell; goddaughter, Jasmyne Hall; a host of uncles; aunts; nephews; nieces; cousins; other relatives and friends.  

She will lie in state on Monday, July 15, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Tony Bonner as the eulogist.  Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
