After 25 games throughout the 2019 season, the Tennessee Smokies lost the season rubber match to the Chattanooga Lookouts at AT&T Field on Wednesday night. The two clubs entered Wednesday's game with 12 wins each in the season series.

Chattanooga won their second consecutive game over the Smokies dominating the contest with a seven-run fourth inning to put away the Smokies 7-1.

RHP Wendolyn Bautista (W, 1-0) tossed six scoreless innings for the Lookouts in his second Double-A start this season to earn his first win.

He struck out three and managed to avoid damage during a bases loaded, one out situation in the third inning.

It was the Lookouts bats that did the damage with the offense taking hold of the contest.

Chattanooga put together six hits, along with a trio of walks in the fourth to put seven runs on the scoreboard.

The hitting barrage started with Stuart Fairchild slapping a ball to left field, then back to back walks from Jonathan India and Gavin LaValley loaded the bases.

Brantley Bell cleared the bases with a double to left center to put the Lookouts up 3-0.

The offensive production continued with Chris Okey getting a quality at-bat with a four-pitch walk. Calten Daal joined the hit party, doubling on a rocket to dead center scoring a pair of runs to extend the Chattanooga lead to 5-0.

The Lookouts didn't stop there, as starting pitcher Bautista  lent a helping hand with the bat as he singled to left tallying another run to make the score 6-0.

the a runner at second, Alfredo Rodriguez slapped a single up the middle to extend the Lookouts lead to 7-0.

With the Lookouts holding on to a strong 7-1 lead, former big-leaguer Brandon Finnegan shut the door in the ninth inning as he struck out the side.
