Jacob Wheeler Of Harrison Wins 2019 General Tire World Championship

Jacob Wheeler, of Harrison, wins the 2019 General Tire World Championship held in Vidalia, La. after catching 15 bass for 47 pounds, 12 ounces on Lake St. John. The Championship Round was held on July 27.
This was his first Major League Fishing World Championship and his fourth MLF win.
Indiana native and current Harrison, Tn. resident Jacob Wheeler was the youngest angler to ever win the Forrest Wood Cup (he was 21 when he won it in 2011), and was the first angler in history to win the first two Bassmaster Elite Series events he competed in.
Wheeler won the 2019 Bass Pro Tour Stage Seven on Table Rock Lake.
