The 2019 SPARC Water Sports Day was held Saturday at First Lutheran Church Camp, 1621 Lee Pike, in Soddy Daisy.

SPARC offered adaptive water skiing, towable rides, kayaking, and stand-up paddle-boarding for persons with disabilities from the Chattanooga area, plus guests from Knoxville, Georgia, and Alabama.

This event has grown significantly over the 27 years since it began.

SPARC is a local chapter of the national organization, Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA), which was founded by US Military Veterans.  DSUSA's motto is:  "If I can do this, I can do anything."  DSUSA’s mission is to provide national leadership and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to develop independence, confidence, and fitness through participation in community sports, recreation and educational programs."
