A one-hit shutout by the Lookouts pitching staff led Chattanooga to a 3-0 victory over the Jackson Generals in front of a sell out crowd on Saturday night at AT&T Field in front of 6,373 fans.
Lookouts southpaw Reiver Sanmartin allowed only one hit via lead-off double to begin the sixth inning on his way to six shutout innings.
Relievers Brandon Finnegan and Juan Martinez set down nine of the final 10 Jackson hitters to close out the victory.
The Chattanooga got all the offence they needed thanks to a two-run third inning.
After Alberti Chavez was a hit by pitch and Michael Beltre drew a two-out walk, Michael O'Neill stepped to the plate and smashed a two-run double to left field for his first extra-base hit since joining the Lookouts at the start of the home stand.
The two runs would be all the Lookouts would need but Chattanooga added another run in the fourth.
Jonathan India scored on an RBI double by Chavez after drawing a walk earlier in the frame to make it 3-0.
Martinez picked up his 10th save of the season, tying Joel Kuhnel for the most by a Chattanooga pitcher in 2019.
