Celebration festivities planned for the day include free entertainment, food and souvenirs.  Commemorative 50th Anniversary hats and t-shirts will also be available to purchase.

“In 1969, two small towns, each with a very rich heritage, joined together in faith to form the City of Soddy-Daisy,” said Bill Shadwick, anniversary committee member.

“With honor for the past and a hope for the future, we have grown to be the vibrant community that we are known as today.  As we look back at the last 50 years, we prepare for a bright future as we all work together to make our hometown even better.”
