Thelma Tancredi
Thelma Emily “Ms. T.” Tancredi, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019, at her residence.
She was born in Rome, Ga., to the late Edward and Hattie Tucker, Sr. She later moved to Chattanooga where she graduated from Howard High School. Thelma attended Greater Pilgrim Baptist Church. She retired from Moccasin Bend and Lifecare Center with over 30 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed Gospel music and attending church. Ms. T. really enjoyed spending time with family and especially with her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Serepta Rowell; sons, Arlyce (Roslyn) King, Sr., George M. (Francine) King, and George King, Jr.; grandchildren, Edward (Nicole). Rowell, Melvin King, Arlyce King Jr., Arnesha Davis, Rocshelia King, and Sheila Depp; beloved sister-in-law, Linda Shaw; uncle, Percy Ricks; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

She will lie in state on Thursday, Aug. 15, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Alexander Bullard, Sr. as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
