Wednesday, August 14, 2019

The enrollment for the Hamilton County Schools was at 44,100 on the fifth day - up from last year's 43,093.

The gain of 551 students was a 1.27 percent growth.

Last year's 20th day was at 44,208.

It was the highest attendance on day five of any year in the last six.

Officials said, "The programs do not have numbers because the students are enrolled at another school and to count them for the program would mean they would be counted twice."

A Better Plan Is Needed For Quarry Golf Course At Mountain Creek

With regard to the ongoing saga of the old Quarry golf course and its proposed development, I reject the proposed plan endorsed by the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy (Chattanoogan - Breaking News 11/30/2019) and believe a better outcome can be achieved.
