Two Chattanooga-based companies, TransCard and Tralia HealthShare, are hosting an event for families in Miller Park, 928 Market St., on Friday, Sept. 6 from 5-10 p.m. The first annual Life’s a Beautiful Ride is an event for families, friends and the community. All are invited and admission is free.
“With TransCard moving into our newly renovated building across from Miller Park at the end of the year, we’re becoming a greater part of this community. We wanted to host an annual event for the city celebrating Miller Park and our downtown area,” said Chris Fuller, president of TransCard.
“We hope people from all over the city will come to Life’s a Beautiful Ride.”
Life’s a Beautiful Ride will feature live music by the Spinster Sisters, Rick Rushing and Dan Pinson; dancing, games and face painting; local artists and vendors; giveaways; and a few surprises in between. Many of Chattanooga’s food trucks—Rolling J’s, California Smothered Burrito, Clumpies, Spill the Beans, Greg’s Sandwich Works and more to come—will be on hand selling their refreshments, along with a beer garden offering local brews for adults 21 years of age and older.
“We are passionate about bringing a fresh alternative to paying for health care. Tralia HealthShare is a community of like-minded individuals that agree to come together to share in each other’s medical expenses. It gives people another option outside of the Affordable Care Act. We are pleased to be launching this national program in Chattanooga and bringing healthcare into 2019,” said Kellen Oldham, CEO of Tralia HealthShare.
