Pensacola, FL - The Chattanooga Lookouts were shut out by the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 13-0, in one of the most one-sided losses of the year.
The Wahoos got their 13 runs on 12 hits - including four home runs - and were helped by three Lookouts errors.
Lookouts fans would not recognize the players on the team due to injuries and transactions - players like Michael O'Neill, Samir Duenez, Yonathan Mendoza, and Alberti Chavez - are now in the lineup.
Former Reds top prospect, Taylor Trammell, and LHP Scott Moss have left the team due to trades.
Key players such as Reds top pitching prospect, Tony Santillan, and Ibandel Isabel are on the injured list.
In Thursday night's loss, starting pitcher Johendi Jiminian (L, 3-4) lasted just two innings giving up five hits, five runs (three earned), and two homers.
The next three relievers were shelled for five runs and in the ninth inning, manager Pat Kelly sent a position player to the mound. Second baseman Yonathan Mendoza's performance showed why he is an infielder and not a pitcher. Mendoza gave up two hits, three runs (none earned), and a home run.
A thirty minute delay in getting started due to rainy weather didn't help matters.
Chattanooga's four hits all came before the sixth inning and then they were blanked, with 14 in a row retired to the end of the game.
