Clemson, Alabama 1 & 2 In Initial NFF/FWAA Poll

 Pollsters in the 2019  FWAA-NFF Super 16 Pre-Season Poll are looking at  Clemson and Alabama as the top two teams in college football in the same order as they finished last January in the CFP  National Championship Game.
 
The Defending National Champion Tigers received 33 of 46 first-place votes and outdistanced No. 2 Alabama by 30 points. Clemson received 722 votes to Alabama's 692 points and 10 first-place votes. LSU had two first-place votes and Georgia one from the 46 voters. 
 
The top two teams were followed  by Georgia in the third spot, Oklahoma No. 4 and Ohio State No. 5.  The Southeastern Conference had six teams in the  poll, the Big Ten and Pac-12 three each, the Big 12 two, the Atlantic Coast Conference one and Independents one.
