Chattanoogan.com is expanding its local sports coverage with a new separate Prep Sports section.
Now we have Sports that includes local colleges and universities, Dan Fleser coverage of the UT Vols, the CFC, the Red Wolves, the Lookouts, car racing and other non-prep sports.
A new separate section is devoted to Prep Sports only.
In the summer months when high school is out, we'll go back to just one Sports section.
Publisher John Wilson said, "We have always put a special focus on local sports coverage, and prep is a big part of that. As the coverage expanded, we found that stories were 'rotating off' too quickly. With the move to two sections, that should no longer be an issue."
