PEARL, MS - The Mississippi Braves dropped the first game of the five-game series to the Chattanooga Lookouts in ten innings, 7-6.
Mississippi's final home stand of their 2019 season began with quite possibly the wildest game at Trustmark Park this season.
The game saw a combined ten pitchers used, 13 runs and 28 hits.
The M-Braves took a 3-2 lead into the top of the ninth, but Chattanooga rallied for four runs, including a three-run home run from Gavin LaValley to take their first lead of the game at 6-3.
The the bottom of the ninth inning with singles and Connor Lien tied the game up at 6-6 with his second home run of the night off of the batter's eye in center field.
The Lookouts plated their bonus runner in the tenth inning and held Mississippi off the board to hang on for the 7-6 win.
The Braves started their scoring in the bottom of the third inning with a pair of runs to grab a 2-0 lead.
After the Lookouts tallied a run in the top of the fifth inning, Lien hit his first home run of the night to increase the lead back to two at 3-1.

The M-Braves and Lookouts continue the final series of the regular season on Friday night RHPJasseel De La Cruz (4-7, 3.95) starts for the M-Braves against Chattanooga RHP Packy Naughton (6-10, 3.84).
