The U-Turn Institute will be hosting international speaker and advocate Abby Johnson at “Finding Life in Every Story” on Monday, Sept. 30, from 6:30-8 p.m. at their facility at 2412 Wolfe Drive Cleveland, Tn. — currently housing Westmore Church.
Ms. Johnson’s story of difficulty and hope was recently highlighted in the feature film “UNPLANNED” — a movie adaption of her memoire — that released earlier this year.
U-Turn hosted a free showing of the movie in March. This new event will highlight multiple local agencies that assist with different stages of life from miscarriage, post-abortive care, unplanned pregnancy, foster care, and adoption.
“We believe that the time is right to not only bring Abby Johnson to our community to highlight her story of personal transformation, but also to raise awareness to what our community has to offer individuals and become more involved in supportive agencies of life,” said Ginger Robinson, interim coordinator at U-Turn.
At the event, U-Turn will offer opportunities for class signups where individuals can join a group to learn, discuss, and grow towards experiencing healing and hope in their lives while being guided by someone who has experienced a similar journey. All U-Turn events and classes are free to the public.
