Robert Walker
Robert Earl Walker affectionately known as Wo-Wo, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, gained his heavenly wings on September 3, 2019, at 12:36 a.m.
He was born in Parsons, Tn., on Feb. 6, 1949, to the late George Malcolm Walker and Maggie Lee Webster Walker. He was a 1967 graduate of Riverside High School in Decatur County, Tn. He joined the U.S. Military and served in the Army from 1969-1971. At an early age he dedicated his life to Christ at St. Marks AME Church in Parsons. He later united with St. Paul AME Church in Chattanooga. He was employed at Chattanooga factories for over 30 years and retired from Orange Grove Community Center in 2006 after seven years of service. Robert was a loving soul who never met a stranger. He loved his children and family more than he loved himself.
Robert was preceded in death by his uncle, Buster “Cheetah” Walker and his precious great-granddaughter, London A’Ni Watkins.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving aunt, Gertrude McDonald; children, Michael “Peanut” Williams, Detrece Walker, dedicated daughters, Tekia Walker and Lori Walker; grandchildren, Cierra Walker, Ce’Auna Anderson; Clarence P. Anderson III; Felicia Williams, Klayia Williams, Dymond Walker, Jaquarius Walker an J’Auna Poe; great-granddaughter A’Mari Perry; devoted brothers, Tommy (Helene) Walker, Richard (Kimberly) Walker; sister, Cynthia Walker; special friends, Bruce Vincent, Andrew Williams, Gerald Fritz, James White, Donnie Maxwell, Daphney Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Public viewing will be from 9–11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the funeral home followed by a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m.
