CSO's 2019/20 Season Begins Sept. 26

  • Thursday, September 12, 2019

The Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra's 2019/20 Season begins on Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tivoli Theatre with Shostakovich and Rachmaninoff. Tickets are $15-$56 and available here

Review for Shostakovich and Rachmaninoff:

An homage to Russia, this season opener features works ranging from pure power to raw emotion. Melancholic and introspective, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 6 combines haunting melodies and dramatic moments. The evening will also feature American composer Emma Lou Diemer’s Homage to Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3, which is one of the greatest and most challenging piano concertos of its time.

Kayoko Dan is the conductor and Steven Lin will be on piano.

The guest artist is sponsored by Peace Communications.
