Elvira Woodgett Foster, 65, passed away on September 17, 2019.
She was born on July 9, 1954, to Eugene and Bervina Woodgett in Wedowee, Al. She joined New Home Baptist Church at an early age. Elvira gave many smiles to everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed.
Elvira was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Leon Woodgett and Bervina Philpott; sister, Teresa Woodgett; brothers, Edward Woodgett, and Stanley Woodgett; a devoted aunt and uncle, Elvira (Felton) Heard.
Left to cherish her memory her husband, Michael Foster; brothers, Melvin Woodgett, Chattanooga, Christopher (Pamela) Woodgett, Bowden, Georgia; sisters, JoAnn (Stanley) Butts, Angela (Oliver) Smith, Gwendolyn Thomas, all of Chattanooga; Sandra (Joe) Houston, Wedowee, AL; devoted cousin, Willard Woodgett, Wedowee, Al.; godchildren, Tynese Thomas, Damian Wigfall, Shemika Houston, and Lil Michael Green, all of Chattanooga, longtime friend, Daiselle Green; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Public viewing will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service in the chapel.
