Patricia Dean Williams, 74, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at her residence.  

She was a 1965 graduate of Riverside High School.  Patricia was a faithful member of Greater Faith Temple Missionary Baptist Church where she served as church clerk. She retired from the City of Chattanooga as a social worker for the Department of Human Services.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Catherine Barnette; son, Richard Williams; brother, Grover Barnette, Sr.; and sister, Mae Fugett.  

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, James E. Williams; grandchildren, LaWanda Hughley, Catherine Williams, and Trinity Williams; three great-grandchildren; brother, Clark Barnette of Chattanooga; sisters, Jennie Allen, Lula (Tommy) Jones, both of Chattanooga, Janice (Ricky) Brightwell, and Mary Fort, both of Athens, GA; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.  

Visitation is on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 5-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Michael Lacey as the eulogist.

Burial will be on Monday, Sept. 23, at 9:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
