UTC Releases Information On New Student Ticket Policy

  • Thursday, September 19, 2019

The 2019-20 school year features a new student ticketing policy, rolling out this week as the Mocs host No. 2 James Madison in Finley Stadium on Saturday, Spet. 14. The update includes a ticket reservation process for students when attending home games for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball games. With the reservation process, students still receive one free ticket for each Chattanooga home regular-season event.

Last week, UTC students received an email that outlined the details of this new process and provided their own specific information to activate their account on
GoMocs.com/Tickets.

Any students who did not receive this email should contact the UTC Ticket Office at (423) 266-MOCS (6627) or MocsTicketing@utc.edu.

This PDF document will walk students through the steps of setting up their account for the first time and reserving game tickets.

With the change to the new ticketing process, both students and the athletics department will see benefits. Students have the ability to reserve tickets easily online with a site that is mobile-friendly and can utilize the mobile ticketing feature. During the reservation process, they also have the opportunity to purchase student guest tickets for friends or family members attending the game, avoiding the need for purchasing a student guest ticket on game day.

Advanced reservations for student tickets allows the athletics department to better estimate the anticipated attendance at each home game, leading to the ability to make better game day decisions such as preparing ushers, entrances, giveaways and promotional items, and concession stands for those dates where a larger crowd is expected.

For football, student tickets will become available for reservation two Mondays before each game (ie. Tickets for the JMU game on Sept. 21 became available on Monday, Sept. 9). Chattanooga Athletics will communicate ticket availability to students via email, as well as posting information on its social media sites.

Full information on student ticketing is available on GoMoc.com, and fans can contact the UTC Ticket Office at (423) 266-MOCS (6627) or MocsTicketing@utc.edu with any questions.
