McCallie Middle School Netters Defeat Baylor, 8-1

McCallie middle school tennis swept the doubles to start the match and then won 5 out of 6 singles to defeat the Baylor Red Raiders 8-1, Thursday afternoon on the Blue Tornado home courts. 

Winning in both singles and doubles were Gabe Getz, Henry Imorde, Drew Holland and John Edwards. Barnes Thomas teamed up with Jacob Cornell to win in doubles, and Frierson Brown was victorious in singles.  Henry Imorde and John Edwards won 8-0 in both singles and doubles, and Gabe Getz won 8-0 in singles.

McCallie is now 7-0.

The McCallie B team shut out the Baylor B team 15-0.  Winning in singles and doubles were Frierson Brown, Adit Harish, Henry Clark, Jacob Cornell, George Robbins, William Negus, Zachary Murray, Gokul Palanati, Cy Shumate, Liam Ensign and Gaurav Rathi

Overall, McCallie won 23 matches and lost only 1.  The individual results of the match were as follows.
