PEARL, MS - Mississippi Braves right-hander Nolan Kingham tossed a complete game on Sunday in a 9-2 victory over the Chattanooga Lookouts at Trustmark Park. The win snapped the Lookouts three-game winning streak over the M-Braves.
The former Texas Longhorn retired the first eight batters of the game before issuing a walk to Lookouts pitcher Wendolyn Bautista in the third inning.
He retired 17 of 18 before yielding an infield hit to Michael O'Neill in the sixth inning, breaking up the no-hit bid.
The Braves had a 9-0 lead in the first four innings so the base hit sparked a two run seventh for the Looks. Brantley Bell would drive in the two runs with his double bringing Samir Duenrz and Tyler Stephenson home after their base hits.
After that it was all Kingham retiring six of the next seven he faced for the complete game and 9-2 win.
