Cecil Marvin Wilson, Sr., 75, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on September 21, 2019.

He was a member of East Ridge Church of God now referred to as The Crossing. He was graduate of Kirkman Technical College. His favorite pastime was spent working on cars. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and Western movies on TV. Cecil loved music and enjoyed singing. He was beloved by his family and his cats.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dorothy Wilson, brothers, Arnold, Larry and Melvin Wilson, a sister, Mary Wilson, and his grandson, Heath Austin Wilson.

Left behind to cherish his memory are wife, Lynda Wilson Townsend, son, Cecil Marvin “Butch” Wilson, Jr. (Kellie), daughters, Patty Quinn (Reggie), and Kim Wilson, grandchildren, Jamie Wilson, Patrick and Lyndsay Quinn, and 1 great-grandson, Michael Miller, 3 sisters, Linda Rowland, Sonja Sirmans, and Frances Wilson, and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Cecil’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Tn. 37412.
