CBL Properties on Monday announced construction is now underway on a new self-storage facility at Hamilton Place. The 94,500 square foot building will offer 645 climate-controlled units with an average size of 107 square feet.
“The Hamilton Place campus is active with construction activity as we make significant progress on the Sears redevelopment project and approach the opening of the new Dave & Buster’s and DICK’S Sporting Goods next spring,” said Michael Lebovitz, president, CBL Properties. “Today marks another milestone as we commence construction on a new state-of-the-art self-storage facility located on the site of the former Golfsmith building adjacent to the mall.”
Mr. Lebovitz added, “Our priority is to diversify the mix of uses at our properties as they transition to suburban town centers, and create value from previously under-utilized space. This facility is a complementary addition to the wide array of uses already available or being added to the Hamilton Place campus."
Managed by Absolute Storage Management Inc., Box Storage is slated to open in March 2020. Box Storage is being developed as part of a joint-venture with Hickory Capital Group.
