Woodrow M. "Woody" Hearon, 76, of Ooltewah, Tennessee was born on November 9, 1943, in Maryville, Tennessee, and passed away on January 8, 2020, at Erlanger Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

He was the owner of Hearon Construction of Chattanooga.

He was preceded in death by parents: Arvel and Lena Hearon; brothers: Earl, Billy Wayne, Arvel Jr., Clifford and George Marvin; sisters: Irene Rauhuff, Martha Stott and Darlene Whitehead.

Woody is survived by his son, Marty Wayne Hearon; daughter, Tammy Hearon of Ooltewah; two grandchildren; long time companion, Reba Hunter; brothers: Alvin (Liz), Marcus, Norman and Curtis Hearon; sisters, Shirley (Gene) Wilburn, Joyce (Brickey) Tipton and Charlene (Bill) Evans; special nephew and caregiver, Billy Hearon; and sister-in-law, Peggy Hearon.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, with Reverend Clifton Hearon and Dr. Scott Lingenfelter officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home Maryville.

The graveside and interment service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
