Fletcher “Bunny” Stone, 71, passed away on January 12, 2020. 

He was on Aug. 31, 1948, in Chattanooga, to Willie and Maggie Stone.  He was a 1966 graduate of Riverside High School.  He was employed by Vulcan Materials and retired from the City of Chattanooga. He and his brother, Bobby shared a birthday one year apart.  He worked diligently to care and provide for his family, and always eager to please and make someone’s day.  His personality was larger than life, quick with a joke, and that always and forever smile. Bunny loved sports, especially football and golf.  He and his family have been lifelong members of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Stone; sister, Linda Stone; brother, Bobby Stone; grandparents, Samuel an Alberta Stallion.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Wanda Stone; daughter, Alexis (John) Stone Dawson; mother, Maggie Stone; sisters in law, Donna Stone, Mary Robinson; brothers in law, Dennis (Sheila) Saunders, Don (Debra) Saunders; nephews, Perry (Sherrie) Herman, Jamaul (Lashun) Herman, Eric Robinson; nieces,  LaTasur Green, Pamela Bowerman, Ashley Stone; great nieces, cousins, nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at New Zion Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at noon. 

Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens - East.
