Donnie Lamar Carden, Jr., 47, passed away on January 8, 2020.  

 

He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia area, currently residing in Gulf Shores, Al.  

 

Donnie was a graduate of Lakeview High School and ITT Tech with a degree in Drafting.  He was a member of the Army National Guard serving in Afghanistan during 2009/2010.  He was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed working with computers, boating and spending time with his friends and family.  

 

Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Lamar Carden, Sr., paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Wright Robert Carden, II, and maternal grandparents, Archie and Katherine Nix.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Canzady Katherine Carden; mother, Mary Katheryn Gulsby (Rudy); two brothers, Robert David May and Wright Robert Carden (Kim); two sisters, Marla Carden Knight (Scott) and Cheryl Carden Hooks (Michele); nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.  

 

A memorial service will be held at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 10:30 a.m.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
