Gloria Brown
Gloria Pauline “MiMi” Brown passed away at her home on January 13, 2020, on her birthday.
She retired after many years of service at J.C. Penneys. She taught children in Sunday school class at Mountain Creek Baptist Church where she attended.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Charles Brown; her parents, Charles Clifford and Betty (Bolden) Fitzsimmons; her brothers, Charles Lee and Billy Fitzsimmons; and grandchild, Spencer Maxwell.
She is survived by her sister, Carole (Edwin) Prescott; children, Charles (Kathy) Brown and Darlene (Allen) Crabtree; grandchildren, Stacy (Bobby) Maxwell, Wendy (Billy) Rains, Jennifer Regan, Stephanie (Jason) Smith; and great-grandchildren, Tucker and Norah Rains, Cierra Somerville, Copeland Dotson, Samara Smith and Macy Seebeck..
“MiMi” was an extraordinary woman that was a blessing and wonderful influence on anyone she met. Her kind, gentle and loving spirit was evident to all she knew. Summit View Assisted Living and Hospice of Chattanooga went out of their way to care for her. She will surely missed by all her family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Lane Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with interment to follow at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
