Hamilton County Collegiate High at Chattanooga State will be hosting two Preview Nights for prospective students and parents to learn more about Collegiate High.
The dates are this Thursday and Thursday, Feb. 27. Both sessions will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Center for Advanced Technology (CAT), room 30.
There will be a brief presentation by Dr. Sonja Rich, principal and Amy Blazek, school counselor, followed by current students that will answer questions and speak about their personal experiences at Collegiate High. All are welcome to attend.
Topics to be covered include a history of Collegiate High, alignment of high school and dual enrollment curriculum, the application process, cost and available financial assistance, student academic support and other perks and benefits of being a Collegiate High student.
Collegiate High students own “bragging rights” to several notable statistics:
• 27 average ACT score;
• 93 percent college-going rate;
• 35 percent of the 2017 senior class earned a general transfer associate degree;
• 99 percent attendance rate; and
• Six-year Tennessee Reward School for performance.
