Cleveland State Athletics officially filled the role of Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach on Wednesday, naming Brandon Raleigh to the position.

Raleigh previously coached cross country and track at Cleveland Middle School for two seasons spanning from 2018-2019. He attended Mount Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore. before transferring to and graduating from Lee University in 2017.

He ran collegiate cross country and track at both institutions.

Raleigh was born in Macon, Ga. but is a native of Portland, Ore., where he lived most of his life until transferring to Lee.

“I am excited for the opportunity to coach and help the athletes grow as runners and be able to transfer to four-year schools,” said Raleigh.
