Truck Driver Dies From Injuries Suffered In Collision With Train In Soddy Daisy

The driver of a semi-truck has died from injuries suffered in an incident with a train in Soddy Daisy.

The victim was 62-year-old Steven Moffett, of Spring City.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. at the crossing at Daisy Dallas Road near Hixson Street.

Authorities said the truck for some reason had stalled on the track.
