Had A Quick Wit, Definite Opinions, And Great Generosity

Bette Bobo Cook (Gummie) happily lived the last 66 of her 86 years with her much-loved husband, Joe.

Her joys included her family, church, and her DAR sisters.

Her legacy includes three children, Wynne (Brady), Jay (Tammy) and Pattye (Steve), two granddaughters, Callie (Anthony) and Ellie, and one great-grandson, James Barrett.

She was a woman of quick wit, definite opinions, great generosity, and an uncompromising moral code. She passed away at her home in Falling Water, on the land where she was raised. She loved deeply, and was deeply loved.

Memorial services will be on Monday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. at Hixson United Methodist Church, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in the form of a donation to the DAR Judge David Campbell Chapter c/o Sally Michaud, 1003 Endicott Street, Chattanooga, 37405; Hixson United Methodist Church, or the charity of your choice.
