Barbara Dews, 78, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020, in Chattanooga.
She was born to the late Abe and Vivian Hill Clark. She attended Joseph E. Smith School. She was a member of Stephen Temple Cumberland Presbyterian Church and worked at Kleen-A-Matic Cleaners.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Vivian Clark; husband, Melvin Dews; son, Allen Clark; sister, Freda Clark; brothers, Kevin and Adrian Clark.
Those to cherish her memories are daughters, Yolanda and Latasor Dews; brother, Robert Clark; sister, Cynthia Clark; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; devoted friend, Sharon Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will begin at noon on Friday, Jan. 31, and the family will receive friends from 7 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
