Wanda Witt Stevens, 86, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at her home with her children at her bedside. 

She was a native of Chattanooga and a member of Red Bank Church of Christ.

Wanda was a loving wife to her husband Gene until he passed away in 2012.  She was a strong guiding influence for her three children and an awesome grandmother.  Her grandchildren believe they had the best grandparents in the entire world and will have wonderful and humorous stories to tell about their “Granny and Pa” for years to come.

Wanda was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord first and foremost.  She had the heart of a servant and was a dear friend to many.

Wanda is survived by her children, Cyndy Schmidt (Chuck), Bea Long (David) and David Stevens (Tricia).  She has five grandchildren: Lesley Long Carnes (Steven), Anne Louise Long, Catherine Stevens Cole (Matt), Taylor Schmidt, and Scott Stevens.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, at Hamilton Funeral Home on Hixson Pike.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery,

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.
