James “Slim” Lofty
James “Slim” Lofty, age 67, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lofty; daughter, Kim Ryon; mother, Kanola Lofty; sister, Kathy Ann Lofty; and a brother, David Lofty.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, James (Janis) Lofty of Tunnel Hill; father and step-mother, Daniel (Dovie) Lofty of Tunnel Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest (Susan) Lofty of Dalton, John (Darlene) Lofty of Rocky Face, and Albert (Judy) Lofty of Calhoun; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special friends, Phillip, Shirley, and John Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Darey Kittle officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Fullers Cemetery in Ider, Al.
