Allen Lee Henderson, 69, of Jasper, Tennessee, died Monday, January 27, 2020.
A 1968 graduate of Marion County High School, he continued his education at Tennessee Tech, then began work at TVA’s Widow’s Creek Fossil Plant. He was proud to have served as a scrubber board operator there for 38 ½ years. He was a member of the IBEW Local #721 and Jasper First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Henderson.
He is survived by his mother, Margie Henderson of Jasper, Tn.; sons, John Henderson and his fiancé, Scarlett Meadows, of Jasper, and Tom Henderson and his wife, Cyndi, of Sequatchie, Tn.; grandchildren, Morgan, Jackson, Cayson, Tyce, Kensley, and Bransen Henderson; great-grandchildren, Zeppelin and Zuri Ladd; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Skip Phillips; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Janet Henderson; nephews, Mack, Ryan, and David Phillips and Caleb and Wyatt Henderson; and aunt, Dottie Armes.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. central time. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tn.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 5-8 p.m. central time and on Thursday, Jan. 30, from noon until service time.
